Spraying Information

As you well know, Petra Pea is searching for new methods of controlling the Evil Pea Weevil. Currently the only way to get rid of pea weevils is to spray with pesticide.

Spraying pea weevils at the right time is an important step in controlling them. If peas are sprayed when flowers and pods are starting to develop, the peas have a chance, because pea weevils are still outside the pods. If the peas are sprayed too late, the pea weevils will already be inside the seeds where the spray cannot reach them.
