Journalism Activity

Petra Pea is a journalist on a mission. Her mission is to find a way to defeat the Evil Pea Weevil - sworn enemy of pea crops everywhere. As a journalist, she needs to find out as much as she can about pea weevils, and how they can be defeated. She also needs to convince her readers that her mission is worth fighting for.

For this activity, you too are a journalist on a mission. You can take up Petra's cause (fighting the Evil Pea Weevil) or a different cause of your own. Make it something you feel strongly about (the way Petra feels when she sees her relatives damaged by the Evil Pea Weevil each year) and write a report about it for the "Downsanup Downs Underground News".

Remember your report needs to describe what you're writing about and to convince readers that it's a cause worth fighting for.
