Wool Products

Harlan taking it easy

Wool from sheep is used to make numerous amounts of products, from car seat covers to socks. Here is Harlan relaxing with a couple of his favourite wool products.

Can you make a list of all the products you use that are made with wool, chances are your wearing some of it right now!

For a starting hint see some very popular products made from wool at the Sock It To You website.

Before the wool can be used for these products it has to be removed from the sheep. We call this Shearing.

But that is only the first part. Before the wool gets turned into any sort of product it goes through a number of steps.
