Professor Siddique and Mr MacLeod attended a major field day on legumes at Shimakhali, organised by the Department of Agricultural Extension, Bangladesh. The success of the new lentil variety, BARI Masoor 4, was the highlight. More than 250 farmers (50 per cent women), attended the field day, where they were briefed by Professor Siddique and Mr MacLeod.
